Desk 2.0

After finishing Grainne's desk I started out on my gargantuan desk. It took quite a bit longer than anticipated, as I made the tops quite quickly and felt that I could use the computer. So I made make-shift legs, which worked for a while. But the end of the project was in sight so I knocked up some legs and she was done. I'm so stoked with how it's come out and that I made it all from free pallets.

Do you see cables? I didn't think so. All cables hidden bellow the desk, nice and neat.

In other news, I start my new job on Tuesday. Here's to saving the world and living the 5 days weekend dream.

Raglan Chic

It's a new year and, as the phrase goes, a new workspace. That's how it goes right? In our new digs, we have a beautiful office space attached to our room but was somewhat lacking in sturdy desk areas. So over the last few days, I've been stripping down pallets and repurposing them for Grainne's desk. The views from here are amazing and this workspace really utilises all the scenic potential. Though I'm not sure how much work will be being done with the planes and ships sailing past.

The style really adds the Raglan aesthetic to the room, something that we both are very keen to surround ourselves with. Here's to the continuation of building missions around the house. Next up my desk.
