2016

2016 has been a rollercoaster ride, internationally as well as closer to home. I wouldn't have thought that I would have been where I am now this time last year, as well as spending 6 months in Europe. One major highlight, professionally, was winning gold in the NZ Sign Awards, with Law Creative Group, for the wayfinding at Eastbay REAP, Whakatane. It was a lot of fun working on the project and it feels amazing looking at the finished product.

Here's to 2017 being as awesome as this year.

Graham Brodie PhD - Identity & Business Cards

Graham Brodie is a Physicist Researcher at Auckland University. He was heading to a physics conference in America and needed business cards to stand out and help him attract funding for research at the university.

Graham works in Optics and deals with lasers daily For his identity, I drew upon oscillating sine waves. I created a repeated pattern that when you put the cards together repeats across the cards.

Illustration Screen Recording

My girlfriend and I been working on a collaborative project for the past 6 months and I have been storyboarding and laying down the concept work for the first section. This is one of the screen recordings where I am detailing a woodland scene with a wooden cabin. These scenes really resonate with me as they remind me of my childhood walks through the woods, back home in Scotland.
